Q: How does billing for Tribute Page hosting work?
When you set up a Tribute Page with us, the initial setup fee includes 12 months of free hosting from the date the page is created. After the first year, hosting is charged annually in advance, once per year.
Q: When will I be invoiced for Tribute Page hosting?
We issue hosting invoices once per year, on 1 September. This annual invoice covers hosting for the 12-month period from 1 September to 31 August of the following year.
Q: Which Tribute Pages are included in the annual invoice?
We include only Tribute Pages that are more than 12 months old as of 1 September. Any Tribute Pages created in the 12 months prior to 1 September are excluded, as they’re still within their first year of free hosting.
Q: What if I’ve created new Tribute Pages throughout the year? Will they be billed separately?
No — to keep things simple, we do not bill throughout the year. Instead, all eligible Tribute Pages are included in the next 1 September invoice after their first 12 months.
For example:
A Tribute Page created on 15 October 2024 will have free hosting until 14 October 2025.
It will not be included in your 1 September 2025 invoice (since it’s still within its first year).
It will be included in your 1 September 2026 invoice for hosting from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027.
This means some Tribute Pages may receive slightly more than 12 months of free hosting, depending on when they were created.
Q: Why don’t you bill each Tribute Page on its anniversary?
To keep things easy for our customers, we use one consolidated annual invoice rather than issuing multiple bills throughout the year. This approach reduces admin on both sides and keeps your billing predictable.
Q: What happens if I remove a Tribute Page after I’ve been billed for hosting?
If a Tribute Page is deactivated or removed after the annual billing, it will remain accessible until the end of the paid hosting period. No refunds or partial credits are issued, as hosting is billed annually in advance.
